SNOOKER: Alfie Burden beat former world champion Stuart Bingham to win the final of the Snooker Shoot Out and finish off his remarkable run in Blackpool with a £50,000 prize.

Burden was only confirmed to take part as a late replacement on the morning of the tournament - which is played over a one-frame match with a 10-minute time limit - and dashed up from London to play his opening match.
After progressing through to Saturday's last remaining 32 players in Blackpool, Burden - who dropped off the main tour in 2024 and won the 2025 World Seniors - went on to reach the final with a 79-14 win over Noppon Saengkham.
