Driver's anguish after 'dealership deems car which caught fire fit for purpose'

A DRIVER has spoken of his anguish after the dealership from which he bought a car that later caught fire deemed it 'fit for purpose'.

Mohammed Khan, aged 23, has been left without a vehicle following the blaze involving his Ford Fiesta in Douglas Road, Handsworth, on January 17.

Mohammed said he had only purchased the car from The Trade Centre UK, in Coventry, a week earlier. He said he went to move it from where it was parked on the road, then drove it for a minute or two around the corner before he heard a loud bang.
