Dike: I want to take my chance with Albion now I'm back fit

ALBION striker Daryl Dike admits it felt good to contribute after he started for the first time in nine months against Stoke last week.

- By DAN NEWBOULD

Dike has been through injury hell and has had to watch on as the likes of Aune Heggebo and Josh Maja have featured recently.

But he reminded everyone of what he can do against Stoke and also came on against Birmingham and wants to make an impact.

He would love to have a role when the Baggies look to get back to winning ways when Championship leaders Coventry City head to The Hawthorns on Saturday.

The American said: “It’s obviously a good feeling to start a game once again. I told myself I was always going to be ready and I was always going to take my chance.
