ANYONE could be forgiven for thinking Birmingham City and manager Chris Davies are cursed when it comes to left-backs.
Davies has scarcely had two available lefties during his 20 months as Blues manager due to a whole bunch of injuries.
Alex Cochrane powered through last season to play almost all of Blues’ games at left-back due to two separate injuries to Lee Buchanan.
Kai Wagner was signed to finally solve Blues’ shortage at left-back at the beginning of January.
However, a matter of hours after Blues made a deal with Philadelphia Union to sign Wagner, Cochrane suffered an ankle injury in a defeat to Watford. Cochrane has been ruled out until April by Davies.
