|February 21, 2026
TAMWORTH Borough Council is set to increase its fees and charges for the coming year, with the cost of hiring the Assembly Rooms for a wedding ceremony rising to £10,000.

Numerous other charges are also anticipated to increase by 5 per cent.
Currently, the council has three pricing bands for the wedding venue: low season (Monday to Thursday), mid season, and peak season.
To bring the venue into line with comparable facilities elsewhere, increases of up to 220 per cent have been proposed.
