Changes proposed to the definition of Islamophobia

THE wording of an official definition of Islamophobia has been rehashed, amid concerns about the impact it could have on free speech, according to reports.

Lady Gaba, who is the chief executive of the Faith Matters consultancy in Northwick, UK, added: "I expect the working group to continue to refine existing definitions for being too broad, and to ensure that they are not used to prevent criticisms of Islam or to stifle free speech. I also expect them to want ministers to adopt the definition once the group's work is completed."
