COUPLE SUBJECTED TO NINE-MONTH ORDEAL AT THE HANDS OF MAN, 27
A 'BULLY' who terrorised a couple and ran them out of their flat in a £10,000 blackmail scam has been jailed.
Twaha Kaana targeted the victims after being denied entry to a house party at their flat in Rednal.
He initially pressured them into transferring £100, supposedly to compensate him for drinks he had bought.
But 60 transactions later he had swindled nearly 100 times that amount from the terrified couple, who ended up leaving their home and have since split.
During a nine-month ordeal he warned he would shoot the man with a crossbow as well as blow up his girlfriend's car among a number of menacing threats.
Kaana, aged 27, from Ernest Road, Sparkbrook, was jailed for five and a half years at Birmingham Crown Court on January 14, having previously been found guilty of two counts of blackmail.
