A BIRMINGHAM man who feared he would die early after being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes has shared his “life -hanging” weight loss journey.
Adam Carpenter has shed seven stone in just 10 months, left, after he was warned his weight, above, was putting him at risk of type 2 diabetes
Adam Carpenter, 35, from Sutton Coldfield, joined his Slimming World group in March and just 10 months later has lost an incredible seven stone and improved his health condition.
He said: “One year before joining slimming world I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and on the border of a very painful condition due to elevated blood sugar and protein.
“This made me fearful of an early death, and the effect it would have on my family.
