Blues stars given a few days off before trip to Norwich
Birmingham Mail
|November 12, 2025
CHRIS Davies has given his Birmingham City players a breather before the Championship fixture frenzy begins after the international break.
The Norwich City game at St Andrew's on November 22 will kick-start a run of 11 league matches for Blues in 44 days.
To provide context to that fact, Blues’ first 15 Championship games were played over 93 days - a game every six days, as opposed to one every four days.
Davies recognises that the final international break until March is an essential recovery period for his players.
“It's a mixture of a few days off and then training time just to keep the fitness levels up,” Davies said of Blues’ plans for the break.
“We wish our international players well, they obviously go away and we won't see them for 10 days or so and the rest will just have a mixture of rest, recovery and training.
