The unfinished box park in Perry Barr

A 'BOX PARK' which was supposed to open before the 2022 Commonwealth Games has finally been scrapped.

The attraction, opposite One Stop Shopping Centre, was to feature 14 shipping containers screening sports, with another 72 containers to be added at a later date. But progress stalled and the graffiti-daubed metal structures were fenced off to the public.
