BRITAIN’S rarest bird has been pictured by a Birmingham man skilfully plucking a fish from the surface of the sea.

There are thought to be just 150 white-tailed eagle pairs in the UK after they were reintroduced 50 years ago.

Before that the last known white-tailed eagle had been shot and killed in 1918.

John Rowley was lucky enough to see a family of the majestic birds hunting on the Isle of Mull in Scotland.
