Thunder suffer rare loss to Timberwolves

The NBA Western Conference-leading Oklahoma City Thunder suffered just their third defeat of the season on Friday, in a last-minute 112-107 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

A whopping 35 points from reigning NBA Most Valuable Player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander wasn't enough to prevent the reverse - the previously imperious Thunder's second in their past three games.

Anthony Edwards top-scored for the Timberwolves, earning 26 points, plus 12 rebounds, three assists and two blocks.

The NBA champions Thunder had held the lead with 40 seconds left on the clock, before an Edwards 24-foot threepoint step back jump shot gave the Timberwolves the decisive advantage.
