Thamanat to stand for prime minister, Klatham says

Klatham Party leader Narumon Pinyosinwat confirmed yesterday that its chief adviser Capt Thamanat Prompow will be a prime ministerial candidate in the upcoming general election.
She said that while the party has not yet discussed when it will unveil prime ministerial candidates or whether she will be one of them, Capt Thamanat will be formally named.
Ms Narumon said the party does not plan to nominate the maximum three prime ministerial candidates and will prioritise qualifications over numbers.
She also confirmed that former Democrat leader Chalermchai Sri-on and his group will apply for party membership, saying their addition will significantly strengthen the party, particularly in the South.
