Sky ICT, Kasetsart unveil aviation tech lab

SET-listed aviation tech company Sky ICT has partnered with Kasetsart University to launch SKY Aviation Lab as part of efforts to develop the nation into an aviation hub.
The SKY Aviation Lab replicates every step of the airport experience — from check-in to boarding — using advanced systems deployed in major airports.
The smart airport simulation facility is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry demand.
According to Sithidej Mayalarp, the company’s chief executive, the laboratory is located at Kasetsart University and aims to equip undergraduate and graduate students with hands-on experience using real-world airport technologies.
“This initiative is part of a broader strategic move to develop a high-skilled talent pool capable of supporting Thailand’s national goal of becoming a premier regional aviation hub,” Mr Sithidej said.
The launch follows the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the company and the university intended to foster research, innovation and human resource development for the aviation sector.
