Pheu Thai reconfigures slogan to 'Hope 2026'

The Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC) has urged the Pheu Thai Party to shift its view of this year's economic outlook from a "year of challenges" to a "year of hope", proposing changes to the country's economic system in three core areas.

During discussions held yesterday between the TCC and Pheu Thai's economic team, the chamber presented recommendations compiled from opinions gathered across all business sectors.

One of the three pillars proposed is the establishment of a national agenda to ensure policy continuity, particularly in education reform. The TCC views this as critical to addressing the crisis facing Thailand's education system, which it says is failing to meet the needs of the labour market.

The second priority is the rapid recovery of the economy, while the third is the need to strengthen political stability under the next government.
