Policy options weighed at meeting

Pheu Thai Party prime ministerial and MP candidate Yodchanan Wongsawat yesterday met the Thai Game Software Industry Association (TGA) to discuss strategies to strengthen Thailand's gaming industry and help Thai entrepreneurs compete globally.

Mr Yodchanan held talks at Pheu Thai headquarters with TGA executives and representatives from across the gaming sector, including developers, publishers and platform operators.

The meeting focused on policy initiatives to drive Thailand's digital economy, with the gaming sector identified as a new engine of national economic growth.

Industry representatives presented an overview of Thailand's gaming market, valued at nearly 40 billion baht, and highlighted the country's strong potential to become a regional hub with the right policy support.
