Chaturon to lead election planning
The Pheu Thai Party has appointed veteran politician Chaturon Chaisang as head of its strategic committee, which is tasked with strengthening policy and positioning the party as a strong contender in the upcoming general election.
Mr Chaturon's appointment was announced yesterday at a press conference attended by Pheu Thai leader secretarygeneral Prasert Jantararuangtong and deputy leader Chousak Sirinil.
The 17-member committee, comprising several party heavyweights, was officially set up on Monday by Pheu Thai leader Julapun Amornvivat under the party's 63rd regulation.
