‘No foul play’ in private’s death

The Royal Thai Army has clarified the circumstances surrounding the death ofa private from the 2nd Artillery Regiment, King’s Guard, saying he died from heart failure and showed no signs of having been assaulted.
Maj Gen Winthai Suvaree, spokesman for the army, addressed concerns regarding the case of Pvt Phetcharat Kamlangying, who was based at Fort Phrom Yothee in Prachin Buri.
Maj Gen Winthai said Pvt Phetcharat lost consciousness while being detained at the 12th Military Circle jail.
