Govt mulls going to the ICC for ruling
The government is set to initiate both criminal and civil proceedings, domestically and internationally, against Cambodian Senate President Hun Sen in response to Cambodia's recent military aggression along the border, which resulted in significant loss of life and damage to Thai property.
Government spokesman Jirayu Houngsub said that Acting Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai issued the instructions during yesterday's cabinet meeting as the incursion resulted in significant loss of life and extensive property damage, affecting civilians, military personnel and government infrastructure.
Mr Jirayu said legal action will be taken in accordance with local and international criminal and civil laws, with the National Security Council taking the helm, and some affected organisations also participating, as well as the army, the Interior Ministry and the Public Health Ministry.
