EC urged to help disband BJT

Kusumalwati Sirikomut, a reserve senator and former Pheu Thai MP, petitioned the Election Commission (EC) yesterday, asking it to press the Constitutional Court to dissolve the Bhumjaithai Party for allegedly interfering in last year's Senate election.
Ms Kusumalwati said she has evidence linking the coalition party's secretary-general, Chaichanok Chidchob, to the formation of a group of people in Buri Ram who were mobilised to contest the 2024 Senate election.
She said there is a digital trail of financial transactions backing up her claim that shows who the group sent money to.
However, Ms Kusumalwati said she has delayed submitting all of this supporting evidence to the EC until the agency formally requires it, as she believes some members of the commission may be spying on behalf of her opponents.
Ms Kusumalwati also said she has evidence proving Bhumjaithai leader Anutin Charnvirakul was involved in the Senate election beyond his legal remit.
