Thailand's women's national football team are relishing the challenge ahead as they prepare to face the Philippines in the semifinals of the 33rd SEA Games at Chonburi Stadium this evening.The Chaba Kaew marched into the last four on the back of two emphatic victories, hammering Indonesia 8-0 in their opening fixture before overcoming Singapore 2-0 to finish Group A with a perfect six points.
The Philippines, meanwhile, produced one of the shocks of the tournament when they edged Vietnam 1-0 on Monday to claim second place in Group B. They had earlier lost 1-0 to Myanmar, who were eliminated after a heavy 7-0 defeat to Vietnam, who topped the group on goal difference.
