The chairwoman of the Nakhon Ratchasima Federation of Thai Industries has called on the new government to urgently address rising industrial costs and economic pressures that threaten Thailand's export competitiveness.

Thidarat Rodanant has also called for a swift resolution to the Thai-Cambodian border conflict, as issues of labour and logistics have stalled the industrial sector.

"As Cambodian workers are urged to return to their country, it inevitably impacts the industrial sector," she said. "Many factories employ a large number of foreign workers from Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia. The departure of workers has resulted in a labour shortage."
