Akaranun orders major Dole curriculum revamp

Deputy Education Minister Akaranun Khankittinan has ordered an overhaul of the Department of Learning Encouragement’s (Dole) curriculum, scrapping its 2008 framework and targeting nationwide implementation of a new syllabus by 2027.
He said he was unfazed by scrutiny from People’s Party MPs and welcomed parliamentary questioning as an opportunity to clarify all issues.
Mr Akaranun said he had instructed Ketsathip Suphavanich, the Dole director-general, to explain why the outdated curriculum remained in use and to establish a panel of experts to address the matter.
