Report notes improvements

Improvements have been noted at a previously under-fire after school care setting.

The Post previously told how bosses at Prestwick After School Care Service Day Care of Children were told to beef up background checks on the staff they employed.

A report from the Care Inspectorate said 'not all staff' had been 'safely recruited' prior to starting within the service.

The service was also told to "further develop" childrens' personal plans to ensure they "identify children's individual needs."

And to support children's health and wellbeing, the service was told to "improve the snack time experience."

In relation to supporting children's wellbeing, the service was advised to ensure that children had access to "sufficient space" to meet their care.
