Perseverance pays off in fly-tipping prosecution

HART District Council has successfully prosecuted two men who have been fined more than £1,300 after pleading guilty at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court to unlawfully depositing waste in June last year.

The pair were caught on CCTV dumping household waste in the private car park behind Two Spoons Bistro & Bar, in Fleet. The footage and a statement were shared with the district council, allowing it to identify the men.
