Drop-in sessions will show designs for leisure centre

FARNBOROUGH'S new leisure centre has moved another step closer as Rushmoor Borough Council prepares to share its latest designs as part of a pre-planning application public consultation, launching on Monday, June 30.

The borough council said the consultation will run until Friday, July 25 with the latest information available to view and for comment online at https://new-farnborough-leisure-centre.co.uk (from June 30).
There will also be three drop-in sessions for people to see the designs, chat to the team and give their comments. These will be taking place on:
■Thursday, July 3 at the borough council offices in Farnborough from 2pm to 7pm;
■Monday, July 7 at the borough council offices in Farnborough from 9am to noon;
Saturday, July 12 at the Princes Mead shopping centre in Farnborough (on the Asda side) from 10am to 1pm.
The new facility is set to include a 25-metre swimming pool and learner pool, a gym with more than 100 fitness stations including specialist power assisted equipment for people who are less mobile or active, studio space, a spin studio, soft play and a café.
