Crawford's unbeaten 50 helps Camberley to beat Walton-on-Thames

IT WAS another successful Saturday for the Camberley Cricket Club's first team as they beat a struggling Walton-on-Thames by 49 runs in the Surrey Championship Division One.
-
Under a rather cloudy afternoon in Surrey, Camberley won the toss and elected to bat first.
Will Hale and Aiden Bariol were first to bat, having a partnership of 47 giving Camberley a strong foundation to build on.
However, despite his best efforts Bariol was caught out off the bowling of Walton's Josh Pistorius on 30 and made way for Keddy Lesporis.
Both Lesporis and Edwards had a fleeting visit to the crease, but quickly left Camberley at 58-3, allowing Walton to put more pressure on the home side.
Next in was ex-Hampshire wicketkeeper Micheal Bates who scored a well-made 38 off 50 balls, which, alongside Hale's 46 runs, steadied the ship for Camberley.
When Bates made his exit, Camberley were 130/5 and had reinforced their control of the innings.
