Artist creates fantastic attractions using tree trunks after big storm

A talented local artist has helped to create eye-catching new attractions in Airdrie’s Centenary Park.

Gordon McLean’s series of stunning sculptures carved from tree stumps and trunks, following the damage caused by Storm Eowyn earlier this year, bring new life and creativity to the much-loved green space.

Gordon's captivating creations have been made possible through a partnership between North Lanarkshire Council’s Community Partnership Team and the Friends of Centenary Park community group.
