Robin Wright on why The Princess Bride sequel 'will never happen'

Actress Robin Wright has fond memories of The Princess Bride but she insists fans shouldn't hold out hope for a sequel.

Speaking to AARP's Movies for Grownups, the 59-year-old said she and her costars have been asked about revisiting the 1987 classic over the years.

"Sometime after we hit the 30-year mark, the cast did a Zoom call, and a couple of actors were like, 'We've been asked if we'll do a sequel,' and I was like, 'Well, a lot of us are going to be in a wheelchair.' So no, no, that will never happen."
