Death toll rises to 17 in Gambhira bridge collapse

Vadodara/Ahmedabad: The tragic collapse of the Mujpur-Gambhira Bridge over Mahisagar River has worsened, with four more bodies recovered on Thursday. The death toll now stands at 17, while three people remain missing, likely swept away by the current.

SP Vadodara rural Rohan Anand told Mirror, "During search and rescue operations, 17 bodies have been found and three are still missing."

He added, "The search operation for the missing is still ongoing, and rescue teams are facing significant challenges in retrieving the submerged vehicles."

An FIR was registered under Section 194 of the BNS based on a complaint filed by Arjunsinh Madhavbhai Padhiar.
