Williams: Give more to the Championship

BRISTOL centre James Williams believes the Championship is overlooked by Premiership clubs and deserves more funding from the RFU.
Williams topped the charts last season in the Championship scoring 162 points for Hartpury that resulted in him earning a second chance in the Premiership.
Williams, 26, spent two seasons in the Premiership from 2018-2020 with Worcester and Sale but made only four appearances in all competitions. This season, Williams has played 13 times for Bristol, scoring one try.
The Championship was a useful lifeline between his two spells in the top flight, helping Williams flourish with regular game time at a level that he sees as under-appreciated.
