Smith is enjoying the life of a tourist

MARCUS Smith has been throwing himself into touring life down under as he makes the most of the current trip to Japan and New Zealand.
The squad have been all over the place on days off visiting local attractions and tourist spots.
Fly-half Smith even did his bit to help feed the squad by landing three or four snapper on a fishing trip off Auckland organised by local boy Ethan Roots.
A group of players, including Smith, Immanuel Feyi-Waboso and George Furbank went to the Warriors NRL clash with the Broncos last Saturday with assistant coach Kevin Sinfield.
And Smith insists it is important modern rugby players get out and about and don’t stay in their hotels clamped in front of laptops.
“Days off have been real good fun,” said the 25-year-old. “It is important we get the balance between working hard and enjoying the experience of being on tour and getting to know your team- mates well in a different environment.
“In the Six Nations and the autumns you do spend a lot of time doing a similar thing. There are a few coffee shops in and around Pennyhill Park but a lot of the stuff is going to the spa and chilling in each other’s rooms.
