Quins out to collect another big scalp
The Rugby Paper
|December 17, 2023
FULL of confidence after their brilliant 31-28 win away to Racing 92, Harlequins are now looking to take down another big French team at the Twickenham Stoop today.
Harlequins, who have never reached a Champions Cup semi-final before, are up against record five time champions Toulouse, a side packed with attacking threats.
“They’re impressive. I watched the Cardiff game in a lot of detail and previous games they’ve played in the Top 14 and they are, as we all know, full of superstars,” said Quins head coach Danny Wilson.
“They’re a good squad, a big squad in terms of their depth of quality and they are a very physical team, they will play on top of you. They have a huge threat at nine, and their forwards around nine and their power game are probably the things that we need to deal with, and then we have some ideas of how we can put our own imprint on the game from a Harlequins point of view.”
While Antoine Dupont, left, is the man most opposition defence coaches talk about, full-back Blair Kinghorn got his fair share of headlines after a double try-scoring debut in last week’s demolition of Cardiff.
