Dunn: I want to finish my time with a trophy

The England hooker believes something special is being built at Bath under head coach Johann van Graan, below, after years of mediocrity when the club spent more than it performed.

"Saracens and Exeter achieved success after having a group of players and coaches who were together for a long time," said the 31-year old. "We can build something special like that here and the prospect excites me.

"The most exciting thing is winning something. My fear is that I have played all these games for Bath and won nothing. Having something to look back on is a massive driver for me.

"All the greats at Bath I watched as a child won something, whether the league or Europe. That has not been the case for me so far and it is something I do not want to hold on to." Dunn reflected that in his 11 years at the club, Bath have had eight different directors of rugby.

As one replaced another, in came different players and coaches and few were given time.
