Bath fly high as Saracens sink again

Saracens, without their seven England internationals, were off colour for the second successive week with their demolition by Exeter followed by a performance that director of rugby Mark McCall will be bemused by.

Foolish errors, poor ill-discipline and failing to get a grip on the greasy conditions at home will be a cause for concern and, after their dismal opening two performances, their England contingent may be rushed back sooner rather than later.

As for the visitors, the solid display by Johann van Graan’s men was a notch up from their labouring win over Newcastle last weekend as they secured their first victory at the StoneX since 2010.

Playmakers Finn Russell and Ben Spencer have ignited the previously misfiring backline and with a beefy pack, the South West side mean business at the start of this campaign.
