ERTHYR Town May played out a fascinating draw against play-off-chasing Walton & Hersham at Penydarren Park.

Only one point separated the two teams going into the fixture with Merthyr occupying the last play-off position, with the visitors hoping to overtake by the end of the day.

It was the Martyrs' first game at home in nearly a month and it was the hosts that nearly took the lead through Tom Handley, but it was effort was blocked from close range by Josh Tobin.

The visitors had chances of their own after Stan Flaherty cut inside in the box forcing Will Fuller to pull of a good save.
