UPWARDLY-MOBILE boss Rob Sinclair believes his Forest Green Rovers experiences will help him as he prepares to lead ambitious Real Bedford into Step 4 life.
The Pirates have made waves over the last couple of years, surging to back-to-back titles in the Spartan South Midlands League – winning Division One in 2022-23 and the Premier last term – to reach Southern League Division One Central.
Real Bedford’s rapid rise has come on the back of new ownership. Cryptocurrency podcaster and Bedford resident Peter McCormack bought the club in 2021 with the goal of turning it into a Premier League club.
And just a few months ago the club – who kick off at home against Hertford Town on Saturday – were in the headlines again as they received a Bitcoin investment of about £3.6m from cryptocurrency investors Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss. The American twins, former adversaries of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, have become co-owners alongside McCormack.
