CHRISTIAN Maghoma says he is “gutted” to have started his new Aldershot Town career with a lengthy period on the sidelines, but has set his sights on a long-awaited return before the end of the season.
The 25-year-old centre-back suffered a ruptured Achilles just 34 minutes into his first run out for the Shots in a pre-season game with Wycombe Wanderers on July 22 – days after completing a move from Hampshire rivals Eastleigh.
Maghoma underwent surgery at The London Clinic on Tuesday but is likely to miss a large part of the 2023/24 National League campaign.
