Deshwal Waste Management Private Limited (DWMPL) is one of the leading single-point recyclers of e-waste, battery waste, oil waste and plastic in India. The company primarily focuses on the recycling of e-waste, used batteries, plastic, oil, and other waste products from households and industries in an efficient and environment-friendly manner. Here, we are in conversation with Mr Raj Kumar - CEO, DWMPL for TerraGreen.

Kindly throw some light on Deshwal Waste Management Pvt Ltd’s work. Are any initiatives taken recently?
We are working hard to create a completely circular economy and to contribute to long-term development. Deshwal Waste Management Pvt Ltd (DWMPL) also participates in corporate social responsibilities, including the sustainability awareness campaigns and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan programmes. Likewise, we are not only conducting business, but we are also helping to balance the ecology and ecosystem by processing various types of waste such as batteries, plastic, and e-waste. Indeed, DWMPL recently received the ‘Make in India’ initiative award at the MSME Global Conference, followed by the Exhibition & Business Excellence Awards, 2022, presented by Shri Ramdas Bandu Athawale, Honourable Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, and Mr Indrajit Ghosh, Global Chairman, MSMEs. We received the award on April 25, 2022, at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. Further, Shri Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, Honourable Minister of State for the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, presented DWMPL with the Ganesh Bharat Ratna Award.
The company is recognized for its significant commitment and initiatives towards sustainability and the creation of an atmosphere congenial for the environment. The purpose of the campaign was to inspire, teach, and persuade the community, particularly MSMEs, to fight climate change through intentional and active participation in sustainable waste management.
