One Farmer, A Hundred Smiles
Outlook
|January 01, 2025
The Sai government is steadfast in its mission to bring a smile to every farmer's face, prioritising both small and large farmers alike.
-
From the moment the Vishnu Deo Sai government assumed office, transformative measures under the Modi Guarantee programme and Sainomics have been implemented to uplift the agriculture sector and ensure prosperity for farmers. This has not only enhanced the economic well-being of farmers but also strengthened public trust in the government. The Sai administration's inclusive agenda ensures that both small farmers in remote villages and large-scale cultivators benefit equally. Take, for example, a farmer with just 5 acres of cultivable land. By selling 21 quintals of paddy per acre at the governmen government procurement rate of ₹ 3,100 per quintal, the farmer earns ₹ 3.25 lakh from a single crop. This reflects the government's commitment to creating equitable opportunities for all.
