KAANTE (2002) :

Inspired by Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs (1992), this Sanjay Gupta directorial is one of the finest heist movies made in Hindi. Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Shetty, Lucky Ali, Mahesh Manjrekar, Kumar Gaurav, Namrata Singh Gujral, Rati Agnihotri, Rohit Roy, Isha Koppikar, and Malaika Arora play vital roles in the movie. The movie tells the story of six Indian men (with criminal backgrounds) detained by the Los Angeles police with no evidence. Feeling wronged, these men plot a bank heist after their release. The plan is such that it will leave the Los Angeles Police Department penniless once successful. However, after they complete the robbery, things go out of hand, and each man suspects the other's identities, leading to extreme chaos and mayhem. With intense performances and a tripping soundtrack, the movie keeps one glued to the screen until the end. Kaante, in a nutshell, is full of adrenaline, with not a single dull moment.
