MOST TRUSTWORTHY COMPANIES IN AMERICA
Newsweek US
|April 11, 2025
TRUST IS THE FOUNDATION OF ANY STRONG RELAtionship. While it's one of the most valuable assets a company can have, it's also one of the hardest to measure. Trust shapes the choices consumers make, the confidence investors place in a business and the loyalty employees feel toward their workplace. Yet, trust is not always as strong as companies assume.
A PwC survey found that while 90 percent of executives believed their companies were highly trusted by customers, only 30 percent of consumers felt the same way, highlighting a persistent and widening gap. To help bridge this divide, Newsweek has partnered with market research firm Statista to identify America's Most Trustworthy Companies 2025.
This year's ranking includes 700 companies in 23 industries ranging from aerospace and health care to retail and consumer goods. Rankings were determined through an independent survey of 25,000 U.S. respondents, resulting in over 100,000 evaluations that reflected the perspectives of consumers, employees and investors. The analysis also considered online media sentiment, and any company facing significant scandals or lawsuits was excluded.
The companies leading their industries this year include established names like Docusign, DreamWorks Animation, Fidelity, Harley-Davidson, GE and Marriott International, alongside growing brands like In-N-Out Burger and Publix that have built strong reputations for integrity and reliability.
