Where are you based, what do you do and why? We are based in Hamburg, we develop artists and release their music and that's pretty much what it's all about.

Why the name?

I like to play with the devil but also not take things too seriously; the duck represents the bling eye of the devil.

When did you launch the label and how have things changed since?

DevilDuck was established in 2004. A lot of things have changed but there are still great newcomer artists who are not getting the attention they deserve so that hasn't changed...

What labels were your influences?

I'd not say influences but labels I've always loved: Sub Pop, Secretly Canadian, Partisan, Barsuk.

Who are your competitors?

I don't see indie music as a competition!
