Nik Moore, Lemmy's right-hand man for more than 20 years, reflects on a partnership that was never, ever boring.

I had met Lemmy at various places in London, and although he didn't know my name we were on nodding terms. When I joined Work Hard PR, my partner Roland Hyams had had a miserable time getting him to do press. I was the third guy to try. At the hotel, I went through the list of interviews and Lemmy said: 'Not doing that one, or that one...' To which I replied: 'You fucking well are.' Grinning, he said: 'You're the first person to answer back to me.' We became firm friends.

I was Motörhead's publicist for twenty three years. It was hectic, it was fun and it was never dull. Lemmy would fly in for three days and grumble about being asked the same old questions, and also having his photo taken. So I had a plan. Day two became a day off, but on days one and three he was my bitch. He was sweet with that.
