The Last of Us
Throughout the decades, video game to TV/ Movie adaptations has been hit and miss, with a massive emphasis on miss, so when it was announced that HBO would be releasing a series based on the incredibly popular and much loved 2013 PlayStation exclusive The Last of Us, many people feared the worst. Industry experts in both TV and gaming questioned the logic of taking the beloved franchise to the TV screens and many feared that it would tarnish the legacy of the game itself. Fortunately for everyone, the show itself is amazing and not only captures the mood of the game itself, but it’s also actually a faithful recreation of the wonderful story that made The Last of Us one of the greatest games of all time. So how did HBO and the writers pull off such a wonderful retelling of one of the best gaming franchises ever?
