Among the Philippines' cultural treasures, the terno had its recent resurgence in Filipino fashion, which can be credited partly to Ternocon, the Cultural Center of the Philippines' creative showcase in collaboration with Bench.

Its latest iteration, Ternocon: Kasarinlan, Kultura, Kasuotan, was recently held in the Museo del Galeón at the SM Mall of Asia, coinciding with the 126th year of Philippine Independence.

It featured the creations of Jojie Lloren, Cary Santiago and Jaggy Glarino, which left the audience in awe with modernised interpretations of the terno, ranging from extravagantly playful to demure and understated. Every creation was defined by masterful tailoring imbued with each designer's distinct touch.
