JANUARY

The Cotswolds

For the ultimate winter warmer, head to the Cotswolds. If the weather allows, opt for a pedal-powered exploration along the Stroudwater Navigation - a massive restoration project is making it more accessible to cyclists and walkers. Reward your efforts at one of the Cotswolds' growing number of distilleries, breweries and vineyards. Top of your list should be the canal-side Stroud Brewery, which scores highly in the sustainability stakes - 25% of the electricity is provided by rooftop solar panels and 70% of suppliers are within 50 miles of the brewery.
