Lounging in a Maldivian resort, wine-tasting in Bordeaux, putting a sports car through its paces at Sonoma Raceway, curating the best watches from Geneva, perusing the top menswear accoutrements in Milan, testing cutting-edge yachts in Monaco. The life of a Robb Report editor may sound glamorous, but-actually, we can't argue there. Even so, separating the wheat from the chaff is no small task in the luxury realm, since even the chaff can be mighty impressive. In our 36th annual Best of the Best issue, we again offer our assessment of the past year's most exemplary products, places and experiences. And yes, edition number 37 is already underway.

Aston Martin
DB12
Though the DB12 is built on the same chassis as its predecessor, do not call it a makeover.
Despite housing a smaller engine and fewer cylinders than before, the DB12 boasts numbers that eclipse the seven-year-old DB11 and proves itself as a performance thoroughbred that pushes 671hp and a torquey 800Nm. Aston Martin has expertly created a perfect balance of comfort and performance, befitting a true GT, with upgrades to its suspension system, featuring adaptive damping and dynamic torque vectoring that offer precision and agility in handling.
There's the beastly V8 performance and uncompromising luxury, exemplified by an overhauled interior cabin. The DB12's upholstery is sheathed in hand-stitched leather and drivers are treated to a rich suite of assistive functions and an infotainment system with an in-house-developed touchscreen. Dubbing it a Super Tourer, Aston Martin walks the talk with the DB12, delivering a spread of engineering, performance, design and technological capabilities and rightfully claiming the title of Robb Report's 2024 Car of the Year.

Revuelto
The hybrid successor to the Aventador is one of the wildest Raging Bulls we’ve driven. Wisely, Lamborghini gifted the Revuelto the Aventador’s raging heart—a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12—as there’s simply no substitute for that growing roar as the tachometer climbs. With a trio of electric motors, output is a whopping 1,001hp, which allows the Revuelto to cover zero to 100km/h in 2.5 seconds on its way to a top speed of 349km/h. Under hard acceleration, it’s a delightful assault on the senses.
