THE SHOW'S STARS CELEBRATE THEIR 10TH BIRTHDAY – AND HOPE FOR MANY MORE

Ask The Chase's 'Supernerd' (aka Issa Schultz) how he feels about the Channel Seven quiz show celebrating its milestone 10th birthday this month, and he'll tell you he's in a state of "disbelief"!

I remember [having] this distinct conversation when we'd just started ... we all took bets as to how long we'd last," Issa admits to New Idea.

"I think the highest was from one of our old producers, who said five years plus. I said maybe a couple of years. We're not pessimists, we're just being cautious!"

But Issa, 41, is more than happy to concede to being "way off the mark".

"It doesn't feel like a job when you're having fun with friends," he shares. "I'm never going to get tired of it. I don't think we'll make 20 years, but if we get a few more years then we'd be delighted - and the public will be too."

Recently, a fan pointed out to Issa that he plays a very unique role on TV - one that he is very proud of.

"I'm sort of educating directly via a quiz show and I think that's my love. It's just sort of sharing knowledge," he says.

Issa also loves being able to challenge himself. He adds: "My favourite part is pushing myself with the extra information."
