More than five years have passed since Irena Gilbert met her now-husband, Locky, on the 2020 season of The Bachelor.

Falling madly in love, the couple wed in 2023 before welcoming their adorable daughter Ava, who's now 18 months old.

But amid all the joy and happiness they've shared, Irena and Locky, both 34, have experienced some devastating lows too.

The couple endured two miscarriages before finally welcoming Ava in 2024. But as Irena readily admits, her pregnancy with their little girl was “incredibly difficult” mentally, because of the fear that she would miscarry again – and then, when she was 12 weeks pregnant, she learnt that Ava had single umbilical artery (SUA).
